Our family of five landed in Marrakech a full 24 hrs late due to flight issues but Hamid & Mustafa were right there patiently waiting for us at the airport at 2:00AM. It was evident that point on that we were in absolutely good hands for the entire duration of the trip. We enjoyed every moment of the trip. It was so relaxed and at our pace ( with kids). We had sufficient time to explore and soak in all the places. The Riad arrangements were awesome. The food stops were well thought. At one point our son left his laptop behind ( he is wired into his school work) but Hamid & Mustafa worked their contacts to have the laptop to us before we left Morocco. Qw did the 10 day trip with Hamid, everything about this trip was amazing, every city we visited had something different. Who knew that Morocco was such a diverse country. Hamid our guide was so accommodating and always put our needs first. He gave us tips that were so useful. I cannot recommend him enough, we will definitely be back and use Hamid from culture desert tours again. The whole trip was organised to perfection, thank you so much Hamid. 6 Day Morocco Itinerary Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1Tangier – Chefchaouen

Your 6 days tour from Tangier begins in Tangier, where we’ll greet you upon arrival by ferry or flight from Spain. From there, we head south to Chefchaouen, a stunning town nestled in the Rif Mountains and known as the Blue City for its colorful blue-washed walls.

Once in Chefchaouen, you’ll have time to stroll through the peaceful medina, explore the old Kasbah in the main square, and see the unique octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque. Don’t miss the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains from the nearby hilltops. Tonight, you’ll stay overnight in Chefchaouen, soaking in the beauty and calm atmosphere of this charming town.

Day 2Chefchaouen – Fes

After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and head to Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest cities. In Fes, we will visit the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and a viewpoint offering a great view of the city. Fes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its traditional souks, historic mosques, and ancient madrasas. Walking through the busy streets of the medina feels like stepping back in time. You will see artisans working in their shops and experience the vibrant atmosphere of this medieval city. Overnight stay in a riad in Fes.

Day 3Fes – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we start our journey towards the Sahara Desert. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” because of its European-style architecture. We will then visit the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the wild Barbary monkeys. Continuing our drive, we pass through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its thousands of palm trees. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where we leave our luggage and take a camel ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, we reach our desert camp, where we enjoy dinner under a sky full of stars. Overnight stay in a traditional tent.

Day 4Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the desert dunes. After breakfast, we leave the desert and drive towards the stunning Todra Gorges. These tall cliffs create a breathtaking landscape, and you can take a short walk to admire the beauty of the area. After lunch, we continue to the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and old kasbahs. Passing through the Rose Valley and Skoura, we finally reach Ouarzazate, where we visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay in a riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 5Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we visit the movie studios of Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Then, we head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah where many famous movies were filmed, including Gladiator and The Mummy. After exploring this beautiful village, we drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass. We stop for pictures along the way before reaching Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 6Marrakech – Airport

After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore Marrakech before your flight. At the right time, we will transfer you to the airport, ending your Tangier Sahara desert tour.
