 Verified Enjoyable family experience Our family of five landed in Marrakech a full 24 hrs late due to flight issues but Hamid & Mustafa were right there patiently waiting for us at the airport at 2:00AM. It was evident that point on that we were in absolutely good hands for the entire duration of the trip. We enjoyed every moment of the trip. It was so relaxed and at our pace ( with kids). We had sufficient time to explore and soak in all the places. The Riad arrangements were awesome. The food stops were well thought. At one point our son left his laptop behind ( he is wired into his school work) but Hamid & Mustafa worked their contacts to have the laptop to us before we left Morocco.  Verified The best travel experience ever! Qw did the 10 day trip with Hamid, everything about this trip was amazing, every city we visited had something different. Who knew that Morocco was such a diverse country. Hamid our guide was so accommodating and always put our needs first. He gave us tips that were so useful. I cannot recommend him enough, we will definitely be back and use Hamid from culture desert tours again. The whole trip was organised to perfection, thank you so much Hamid. Day 1Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate (5 hr 53 min / 429 km)

We begin your journey by picking you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Then we drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass with amazing views and small Berber villages.

We stop to visit the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After our visit and lunch in a traditional restaurant, we continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, we visit the famous movie studios before spending the night in a local hotel or riad.

Day 2Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Boumalne Dades (1 hr 56 min / 132 km)

After breakfast, we continue driving through small villages made of clay and stone.

We pass through Rose Valley, famous for its rose products, and reach Kalaat M’Gouna, known for rose farming. After enjoying the beautiful valley, we arrive in Boumalne Dades. We follow the scenic road along the Dades Valley with its old houses made of clay. Overnight stay in a local hotel or riad.

Day 3Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert (3 hr 57 min / 248 km)

Today we travel from Boumalne Dades to the Todra Gorges near the town of Tinghir. These tall canyons are perfect for photos and short walks. After that, we continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and then drive straight to the Merzouga Desert.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a camel ride across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. We watch a beautiful sunset in the desert before reaching our luxury desert camp, where we will spend the night under the stars.

Day 4: Explore the Merzouga Desert and Visit Nomads

We start the morning with sunrise views and breakfast at the camp. Then we begin exploring the desert. We will visit a nomad family to learn about their way of life. After that, we go to Khamlia village, where you can enjoy Gnawa music performed by locals. We return to Merzouga for lunch, then walk around the village and visit Hassilabied, where we stay the night in a hotel or riad.

Day 5Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt ( 4 hr 4 min / 263 km)

Today our route from Merzouga continues through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm trees and green views. We stop at the panoramic view in Errachidia, then head to Midelt, a town between the Middle Atlas Mountains. We have lunch and spend the night in a quiet hotel.

Day 6Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes (3 hr 30 min / 198 km)

After breakfast, we leave Midelt and drive through the small towns of Zaida and Timahdite. We stop at the cedar forest of Azrou, where you can see wild monkeys. Then we visit Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets and European style. It is also home to a famous university. We continue our journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains and arrive in Fes, where we spend the night.

Day 7Fes – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen (6 hr 55 min / 380 km )

We leave Fes and drive through the beautiful Rif Mountains with amazing views and small villages. We stop for lunch on the way, then continue to the blue city of Chefchaouen. After checking into your hotel or riad, you can relax or explore the lovely medina, take pictures, and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 8Chefchaouen – Asilah ( 2 hr 26 min / 149 km)

After breakfast, we continue west through the mountains and countryside. We stop for pictures and enjoy the landscapes. Later we arrive in Asilah, a calm coastal town with white walls and colorful street art. This small medina has Portuguese history and is known for its annual art festival. You’ll have time to walk around before spending the night in a local hotel.

Day 9Asilah – Rabat ( 2 hr 19 min / 205 km)

Today, we travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. This city is home to the Moroccan king and has many interesting sites to visit. We explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, see the beautiful gardens, and visit the famous Hassan Tower, which was started in the 12th century. After enjoying Rabat, we spend the night in a hotel or riad.

Day 10Rabat – Casablanca (1 hr / 13 min / 90 km )

On the last day of our final day on the road, we drive from Rabat to Casablanca. Along the way, we pass through several towns and stop for pictures. In Casablanca, we visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and one of the few in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors.

After a short city tour and free time for photos, we take you to your hotel or airport. This is the end of our trip.
