Your 6 days desert tour from Casablanca starts with a pickup from your hotel. We drive through the scenic Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco. Once we arrive, you will explore the charming blue-painted streets, learn about the city’s history, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There are many cafés and restaurants where you can relax and take beautiful pictures. You will spend the night in a traditional riad or hotel.
After breakfast, we continue our Casablanca to Marrakech desert tour towards Fes, passing through the Rif Mountains. Along the way, we stop at Volubilis, an ancient Roman site known for its well-preserved ruins. Later, we arrive in Fes, Morocco’s cultural capital. You will check in at your hotel/riad and have free time to explore the city’s old Medina, famous for its lively souks, historical sites, and unique atmosphere. Overnight stay in Fes.
After breakfast, we leave Fes and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” where you can see snow in winter. We then continue to Azrou, home to wild monkeys in the cedar forest. After a lunch stop in Midelt, we drive through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm trees and beautiful landscapes. By the evening, we arrive in Merzouga, where you will ride camels across the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi while enjoying the sunset. The camel ride to the desert camp takes about 1 hour each way. If you prefer, you can take a 4×4 instead of riding a camel.
You should bring comfortable clothing, walking shoes, warm clothes for the night, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, a small backpack for personal items, and a camera or phone to capture the beautiful desert scenery.
If you have back or knee issues, you can skip the camel trek and take a 4×4 vehicle to the desert camp instead. Let us know in advance, and we will arrange a comfortable transfer for you.
