11 Days Morocco Itinerary from Marrakech

Your 11 days Morocco Itinerary from Marrakech begins at the airport, where our driver will welcome you. You will be taken to your accommodation near Jemaa el-Fna Square, the heart of Marrakech. Free time to relax and prepare for the journey.

After breakfast, we start the drive to Casablanca. There, you will visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. We continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you will explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Hassan Tower.  Overnight at a riad in Rabat.

In the morning, your local guide will take you on a tour of Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. You will visit the old medina (Fes el-Bali), the Jewish quarter, the Royal Palace gates, and traditional artisan areas. The medina is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most historic in the Arab world. Overnight in Fes.

After breakfast, we begin our journey to the south. We pass through Ifrane, often called “Moroccan Switzerland”, and Azrou, home to cedar forests and monkeys. We continue through Ziz Valley, known for its palm trees and rock formations. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Dinner and overnight at a hotel near the dunes.

After breakfast, we explore the Merzouga Desert. Visit the village of Khamlia, home to Gnawa musicians. Discover nomadic families and learn about their lifestyle. In the afternoon, ride a camel across the dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy dinner under the stars, listen to Berber music, and sleep in a luxury tent with a private bathroom. In the morning, ride the camels back to Merzouga and meet your driver. Visit the local market in Rissani, a traditional town that supplies many villages in the area. After breakfast, we continue through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, known for its film studios. Then visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site used in many films like Gladiator. Later, cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Overnight in Marrakech.

Today, you will enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, also called the “Red City”. Visit top attractions such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. Enjoy lunch near Jemaa el-Fna Square, and then have free time in the afternoon to explore the medina and souks. Overnight in your riad.

After breakfast, enjoy a free morning to explore the vibrant streets of the Medina at your leisure.
