Day 01Arrival in Errachidia – Drive to Merzouga

Welcome to Morocco! On the first day of your 3 days Sahara desert tour from Errachidia, we will pick you up from Errachidia Airport. Then, we drive through dry valleys, rocky hills, and beautiful desert views toward the famous Merzouga Desert. Along the way, we stop to rest, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful desert road.

When we arrive in Merzouga, you will check into a comfortable hotel or riad at the edge of the dunes. Enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner included and get ready for your desert adventure.

Day 02Explore Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia – Lake – Camel Ride – Desert Camp

After breakfast, the second day is all about exploring the culture, nature, and beauty of Merzouga.

We start with a 4×4 off-road trip to an old eyeliner mine, once used by local tribes. Then we visit a nomad family living in a traditional tent in the middle of the desert. They will welcome you with Berber tea and share how they live without electricity or running water – a real-life experience you won’t forget.

Next, we go to Khamlia village, home of the Gnaoua people who came from West Africa. They play powerful spiritual music and perform traditional dances. You can listen, dance, and feel their unique energy.

We then take a walk in a peaceful palm grove, followed by a visit to Merzouga’s wild lake, often called Flamingo Lake (in the right season, you may spot these beautiful birds).

In the afternoon, the magic begins: you will ride a camel across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. On the way, stop on a high dune to take amazing photos and watch the sunset over the Sahara.

Arrive at the luxury desert camp, where your private tent is waiting. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, then gather around the campfire with Berber music and drumming under the stars.

Day 03Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Errachidia Airport

Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful sunrise over the sand dunes — one of the most beautiful moments of your Errachidia desert tour. After breakfast at the camp, you will ride camels back to Merzouga village, where your driver will be waiting.

We then drive to Rissani, an old market town and the former capital of the Tafilalet region. Explore the traditional souk (market), where locals come to trade spices, clothes, animals, and crafts. It’s a great place to see real Moroccan life.

After Rissani, we continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils. We will stop to visit a workshop where they make tables, sinks, and decorations from fossilized stone.

Finally, we drive through the amazing Ziz Valley, full of green palm trees and beautiful views. You’ll have time to stop for photos along the way. We arrive back at Errachidia Airport in time for your flight, full of memories from the desert.
