10 Days Morocco Itinerary From Marrakech to Casablanca | Sahara Desert Tour 2026

We begin your journey by picking you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Then we drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass with amazing views and small Berber villages.

We stop to visit the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After our visit and lunch in a traditional restaurant, we continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, we visit the famous movie studios before spending the night in a local hotel or riad.

After breakfast, we continue driving through small villages made of clay and stone.

We pass through Rose Valley, famous for its rose products, and reach Kalaat M’Gouna, known for rose farming. After enjoying the beautiful valley, we arrive in Boumalne Dades. We follow the scenic road along the Dades Valley with its old houses made of clay. Overnight stay in a local hotel or riad.

Today we travel from Boumalne Dades to the Todra Gorges near the town of Tinghir. These tall canyons are perfect for photos and short walks. After that, we continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and then drive straight to the Merzouga Desert.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a camel ride across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. We watch a beautiful sunset in the desert before reaching our luxury desert camp, where we will spend the night under the stars.

We start the morning with sunrise views and breakfast at the camp. Then we begin exploring the desert. We will visit a nomad family to learn about their way of life. After that, we go to Khamlia village, where you can enjoy Gnawa music performed by locals. We return to Merzouga for lunch, then walk around the village and visit Hassilabied, where we stay the night in a hotel or riad.

Today our route from Merzouga continues through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm trees and green views. We stop at the panoramic view in Errachidia, then head to Midelt, a town between the Middle Atlas Mountains. We have lunch and spend the night in a quiet hotel.

After breakfast, we leave Midelt and drive through the small towns of Zaida and Timahdite. We stop at the cedar forest of Azrou, where you can see wild monkeys. Then we visit Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets and European style. It is also home to a famous university. We continue our journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains and arrive in Fes, where we spend the night.

We leave Fes and drive through the beautiful Rif Mountains with amazing views and small villages. We stop for lunch on the way, then continue to the blue city of Chefchaouen. After checking into your hotel or riad, you can relax or explore the lovely medina, take pictures, and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, we continue west through the mountains and countryside. We stop for pictures and enjoy the landscapes. Later we arrive in Asilah, a calm coastal town with white walls and colorful street art. This small medina has Portuguese history and is known for its annual art festival. You’ll have time to walk around before spending the night in a local hotel.

Today, we travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. This city is home to the Moroccan king and has many interesting sites to visit. We explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, see the beautiful gardens, and visit the famous Hassan Tower, which was started in the 12th century. After enjoying Rabat, we spend the night in a hotel or riad.

On the last day of our final day on the road, we drive from Rabat to Casablanca. Along the way, we pass through several towns and stop for pictures. In Casablanca, we visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and one of the few in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors.

After a short city tour and free time for photos, we take you to your hotel or airport. This is the end of our trip.
